Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

John is injured and is at Yale. To make it brief, we were having what John literally said was "the best beach day ever!" We were swimming at Misquamacutt, playing in big waves, like we have before. On the last dip in, before we were going to pack up, John got caught in the waves and tossed around. He must have hit his head or neck on the sand. He lost consciousness. Luckily, Wiley, the HERO, was right there and pulled him out with his Boy Scout skills. Beachgoers - literal strangers - helped get him to the beach. Lifeguards were fast to react. John went to Westerly Hospital where they found a fractured vertebrae. The he was air lifted to Yale. John had surgery and they were able to fix the vertebrae. But, we won't know the full impact for quite some time.

It's going to be a long road to recovery. So many have already reached out. Please know how much we appreciate your kindness! We are accepting all positive healing vibes/prayers, whatever. We need it all.
John is sure loved by so many.
We are so very grateful for all of you!
