PLEASE HELP.
My name is Kayle. I’m the oldest of a six sibling blended family and our dad is in full heart failure! Seven months ago our lives changed drastically as we were forced to move from our small town of Andrews, Texas to Dickinson,Texas. My younger sister and brother, whom are both IgG (immune) deficient, require treatment at Texas Children’s Hospital.
Just when our family started to get a new routine down, Hurricane Harvey blew into town and destroyed our home. With my dad supporting six kids and a wife with a three hour commute and a full time job he was also rebuilding our house at night. On November 13th my dad went into the ER thinking he had a simple flu. But we got heart failure instead. This came as a complete surprise to us and his condition is deteriorating rapidly. My dad was diagnosed with Chronic HFrEF (10%) and Secondary to LVNC (Left Ventricular Non-compaction).All those words mean he need’s a heart transplant.
All I know is that I haven’t had my dad half of my life and I don’t want to lose him. He taught me how to love, forgive and be grateful. My mom is the strongest person I know. She is the glue that holds the Reyes family together and deserves a long happy life with the one she loves. They are both my heroes and I hope to be half the parent’s they are. My dad needs new heart! I messaged you because we need hope in our lives again. Please spread the word to help my dad get his new heart.
