Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

This site is being maintained by John's sister, Maria, from input provided by John's wife, Michelle.

John had a seizure on January 8, 2018 and was taken to the hospital.  Initially, they thought he had a stroke, but imaging diagnosed him with a 41mm tumor in the left temporal lobe of his brain.  Surgery on January 9 was successful in removing 70% of the tumor, however, the diagnosis was glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.  He’s going to start six weeks of daily radiation and will also receive chemotherapy.   John says he has to be around for six more years so he can get Maggie through high school.

If you want to help, his family is launching a GoFundMe site to collect monetary donations.   There is a link here under Ways to Help John.  We also anticipate creating a Meal Train site, so friends sign up to bring meals to John and his family when those are needed.
