John Metz John's Heart Surgery

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Many of you know that I have not felt well for a long time. After a couple of years and many, many tests and Dr visits, they have determined that I need open-heart surgery to replace my second tricuspid valve with an artificial valve, relieve heart constriction, and to install a pacemaker. I had a similar surgery 5 years ago when they replaced my aorta with an artificial valve. So, it's a big surgery, but I have been here before, and your support is important to me. We decided CaringBridge was probably the best place to keep everyone informed about my progress.
