My name is John Baucom and I am 57 years old. On October 1, 2016 I went to the emergency room because I was having difficulty reaching for things and I felt "weird". They performed a CAT Scan or MRI and found a tumor in my brain. On October 6, 2016 I was formerly diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme Stage 4 Brain Cancer. I had surgery immediately to remove as much as the tumor as possible. Approximately 2 weeks later I began Chemo and Radiation therapy which continues today. I am told by my Oncologist he cannot put a certain date or accurate range of how much time I have left but based on the evidence of my test and the average survival rate I may have up to 18 months to live. I am married and have two children that live at home. My daughter is 17 and my son is 19. I am reaching out to family, friends, compassionate strangers who may be moved to assist my family and I during this difficult time. While financial support is one of the primary goals of this site it is not the sole reason I have taken this route. This also allows me to interact with many different people and I gain strength through their words of encouragement. This also helps me stay busy throughout the day. Thank for listening and any support you can provide is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, John T Baucom
