On July 20, John fell from a ladder approximately 20 feet, while he was cutting limbs from a tree in the backyard. Wes saw that John had fallen and immediately ran to Charlie for help. Charlie found Megan and Grace and 911 was called. John was transported to Wake Raleigh as a Level 1 trauma. We are grateful for the neighbors that ran over immediately to help - Adam Plotts, Tim Kaufman, and Katie Barbee.

John will be sedated for a period of 2 to 3 days to allow the swelling in his brain to calm down. The CT scan showed two small spots of hemorrhaging on the back of his brain. He is being closely monitored and treated as needed. He also suffered a broken tibia (right) and broken ankle (left). When the sedation is lifted, we will begin to understand the extent of his injuries.

The outpouring of support, love, and positive thoughts  is felt by his family and very much appreciated. Please please continue to pray for John and his healing, your prayers are needed.
