John was diagnosed with Mesothelioma lung cancer in May 2014. Meso, for short, is caused by asbestos. Although we aren't sure of how John was exposed to this horrible chemical it is thought it was from the frequent sheet rocking he did or brake changing on our cars. John started this journey with chemotherapy, followed by major lung surgery, and then radiation therapy. He was able to hold the cancer at bay these last three years with numerous chemotherapies. He was able to continue working through this entire process. An amazing man who never gives up . We received disheartening news this past Friday that the cancer has enlarged along with other symptoms of spreading. Because there are no further treatment modalities to be accessed John will be entering hospice care today.
