Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

So here we are. John has had a hard fought battle with his cancer for 10 years.  He was diagnosed in November 2008 with pancreatic neuroendocrine carcinoma  that had already metastasized to his liver.  This type of cancer is a very slow growing cancer and is very very rare. Things started to change back in 2013. He was sent to Stanford Cancer Center and started a  clinical trial with them. He had 18 rounds of Chemo over a year and a half. Then in February of 2015 he needed to retire with disabilities. Since then it’s been a myriad of medical issues with  subsequent surgeries, therapies, and hospital ER and doctor visits. Through it all he has remained positive and optimistic. Then in July this year it all came to screeching halt when it was discovered it had metastasize to his bones and he started a rapid decline.
John has enter Hospice Care this week.
