Welcome to my CaringBridge website. I'm a survivor of bacterial meningitis, of which I battled a severe infection during a recent trip to Costa Rica. I was hovering near death in the initial stage of the infection, but pushed through with the help of some amazing doctors & surgeons. However, I acquired profound deafness and complete vestibular loss (i.e. loss of balance function) as a result of the infection.

I am now on a  rehabilitation path, and am adapting to life after meningitis with acquired brain injuries. I am using this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. I sincerely appreciate all the love and support. The messages of hope and encouragement help sustain me through difficult times. Thank you for visiting. ❤️
