John Henry Ziegler

Welcome to my CaringBridge site. My friend and I have created it to keep family & friends updated. We appreciate your support and encouragement during this time in my life when it matters most.  

Here is a little bit about me.  I was born and raised in Warren, Ohio, the son of James L and Macy J Ziegler.  I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters, 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
I have a rich football history, having played as tailback for the 1974 State Champion Warren G. Harding Panthers.  I played on scholarship at Arizona U., and I had a tryout with the Houston Oilers.  After football, I worked for the State of Ohio corrections from 1989-2004, when I retired after a bad automobile accident.
When I can, I like to walk in my neighborhood, ride my bike, listen to gospel music, and watch old movies.  But my real passion is serving the Lord Jesus Christ as a member of the Pickerington Church of Christ.  I regularly call on and visit my church family, especially when they are in the hospital.  To learn more about what I need, read my journal post from 4-21-16, "John's Journey and Needs."
