Being in my 50’s now, I thought the queazy stomach, stomach ache and ache in the middle of my back were just reflections of my ongoing physical lifestyle. I am use to the aches and soreness that accompany such physical activity. I wasn’t in my 40’s anymore, so I shouldn’t expect to rebound as quickly.  Unfortunately, aging wasn’t the issue.  I was diagnosed with Stage 4 gallbladder cancer on October 12th after a fury of many tests over one and a half weeks.  The Doctors, Nurses, their assistants and my friends were wonderful in their response in getting me to the right people and places as soon as possible. I hope my diagnosis and my openness as I share my story encourages many of you to be alert and listen to your body.  If things don’t feel quite right…go get it checked out.
