Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

John and I are engaged to be married in October.  We were blessed that he was able to sell his home to the first person who looked!

His furniture was moved my home on Thursday July 3rd-he was running a low grade fever and really didn't feel well.  We both thought it might be exhaustion from the strain and stress of the move.

By Saturday he was willing to go to urgent care.  He was diagnosed as having the flu, which made sense to us.  On Sunday he was having trouble breathing so back to the doctor we went.  His X-ray showed that he had "walking" pneumonia and was started on a broad spectrum antibiotic.

On Monday we both became concerned about him becoming dehydrated-back to the doctor.  She said there was no need to go to the hospital.  At this point we felt with each day he would "turn the corner" but that did not happen.

By Thursday he was ready to go to the ER.  He was quickly admitted to the ICU. All the tests have been inconclusive, but he does have ARDS.  We may never know how all this came about.

We are confident that God is sufficient and He can heal....this is my earnest prayer.

Blessings,
Susan
