John has been struggling with periodic ear pain, coughing, sore throat and trouble swallowing. He recently was diagnosed with throat cancer so we are moving fast with next steps. Today he had a feeding tube placed to help with nutrition and is scheduled for a tracheotomy Tuesday, July 13, which will relieve an obstruction to breathing.
We will update the journal entries as updated information is known.
All communication is preferred through this site as he will not be able to verbally communicate for a while.
As you can imagine, there is no complaining from him. He is taking this on and moving forward.
