While helping his dear friend in a remodeling project our son Johnny fell two stories from the deck and landed on his dump truck. His cervical spine was fractured and he  has sustained damage to his spinal cord. He will be having surgery on Wednesday to repair the bones and stabilize his spine. The contusion on his cord is not surgically repairable and he has suffered paralysis from the waist down. He does have some sensitivity to touch and when he is stabilized he will be moved to a rehabilitation  hospital. We are hoping that we can get him into Spalding in Boston, as we have witnessed their expertise with our friend  Drew  who remarkably recovered a very life threatening injury  through intense therapy there. We have been flooded with your love and prayers and cannot believe the level of support you have all offered and we are beyond grateful for it. With each phone call, every meal, text message, phone call..... We get stronger and feel your heart felt love.  Your  love and prayers are lifting us up in the moments when we can't stand on our own. Of course we are devastated to watch him in his suffering, but we do believe that with God all things are possible.  Please continue to pray! Your powerful prayers I know are just waiting to be answered. Pray for a miracle, pray for full restoration of his spine, that our father in heaven will look upon him with favor and send healing!
