On August 21st John stayed home from work. This was unusual because he is never sick. In 35 years he's missed maybe 4 days.  On Tuesday morning he still didn't feel well so I  suggested I stay home from work and take him to the hospital.  Several hours in the ER the doctor comes in and closes the door to tell us he believed John had Lymphoma or Leukaemia.
We have been in shock and devastated since that moment.  His spleen is 3 times the normal size so he is in pain. He is still eating well but is eating smaller meals. Tomorrow September 21st our 33rd wedding anniversary we start this new journey. John has an PET scan to tell us where the cancer hotspots are. Then on Friday he has a bone marrow biopsy and a port put in.   We know he has a lymphoma but waiting on all of the biopsies to exactly identify it.   We have decided to have treatments at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Fl.  Our son and daughter in law are here so we are staying with them as long as it takes.
