After being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in July 2015, John went through 45 radiation treatments. After these treatments, the cancer was under control. In August 2017, the cancer came back. He started chemo treatments in December of 2017. After nine months of treatments, the chemo stopped working. John was then put on another type of chemo drug for 3 treatments that did not work either. Early November 2018, cancer was found in John's spine. After 10 more radiation treatments, his prognosis was good. By late January 2019, the cancer had once again returned to his spine.  The cancer had advanced so much that further treatment was not possible.  As his condition slowly began to deteriorate, he was moved to St. Lukes Hospice. He was admitted to the Hospice on February 1st, 2019. He is being made comfortable and pain free by the caring Hospice nurses and aides. Family has been by his side and will continue to be by his side. His wife, Randi, son Jason along with Stacey and Kolby, also daughter Kristen, and grandson Damon continue to stay with John.
