Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

How do you write about one of the longest, most emotional and confusing weeks of our lives?

I'm told, you write it in chronological order to help friends and family understand.

How do you help them understand when we don't understand?

Three months ago John began having back pain that increased slowly.

Three weeks ago his doctor ordered an x-ray that came back normal.

Two weeks ago he had an MRI.

On Christmas Eve we learned that John has a large tumor centered in a vertebrae in the middle of his spine severely pushing on his spinal cord.

On Christmas we began praying, reaching out to family and friends and researching the results of John's MRI.

On Monday by the grace of God and some incredible family and friend's efforts John was emailing with a Cancer Dr. at MD Anderson. He advised this is very complicated and urgent. Monday evening we were on a plane.

Today is Tuesday and John and I are in Houston waiting and praying for an open appointment to begin helping John at one of the best hospitals in the world.

Tomorrow, and the next day and I suspect the day after that John and all of our family will need your prayers.

In spite of all the things we do not currently understand God has a plan and we do understand the power of prayer.
