Dad fell in January sustaining a skull fracture.&nbsp; At that time, there was no bleeding in his head and he was discharged to home.&nbsp; Throughout the last couple of months, he's been more clumsy (although hiding it very well).&nbsp; On Friday, 3/13/2020 he was working in the basement, felt weak, and sat on the floor.&nbsp; He called for Mom's caregiver and she called 911 since he was unable to get up on his own accord.&nbsp;&nbsp; At first, the paramedics were thinking he had a stroke because he had a left facial droop and was weak on his left side.&nbsp; It turned out that he had a very large subdural hematoma (brain bleed) in his head that was shifting his brain over to the other side.&nbsp; All of the doctors and nurses were amazed how well he looked based on his scans!&nbsp; He's one strong man, that's for sure!&nbsp; I call him an ox (lovingly, of course!).&nbsp; &nbsp; He underwent emergency brain surgery that night.&nbsp; Unfortunately, he's been experiencing seizures so he has not been able to be liberated from the ventilator yet.&nbsp; The anti-seizure medications finally have the seizures under control, but he hasn't yet woken up.&nbsp; The doctors are hopeful that with time, he will get better.&nbsp; It helped that he looked so good before surgery which is what is giving the doctors hope.&nbsp;&nbsp;
