Joette Blakesley

Joette Blakesley, Easterseals' long time Chief Development Officer, is facing some difficult and uncertain health issues. In January, an MRI revealed tumors on Joette’ s brain. As a result of that scan, a biopsy was conducted which confirmed lymphoma. 

Illinois Cancer Care is proceeding with a series of 5-7 sessions of chemo therapy sessions that will be separated by an interval of approximately two weeks.  Her physician is optimistic, citing a 70% success rate in eradicating this type of lymphoma.  

For now, Joette will be away from Easterseals and focused on her health.   She s in good spirits and ready to get started working toward her return to good health.
