Joe’s been diagnosed with a Neuroendocrine Carcinoma.
He begins treatment Tuesday, 3/14.
Joe’s treatment plan is being directed by MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and he will complete chemotherapy locally here in CLE. The current plan is 4 cycles of chemotherapy followed by 6 weeks radiation. After 2 cycles of chemo are complete, Joe will have scans done in Houston. This tumor is known to respond well to chemo. It is possible, when in Houston for scans, that simulation (radiation planning) will be completed at this visit. The 3rd cycle is planned for CLE and the 4th cycle may be completed in Houston, in combination with radiation.
