On Thursday, November 1, 2018, Joe was found in his kitchen at home.  EMS was called and he was flown via helicopter to University of Maryland Shock Trauma medical center in Baltimore, MD.  He was stabilized and transferred to the Trauma ICU, where he will remain for the foreseeable future.  When he fell, Joe broke his neck in three places. At this time, it is unclear what the future holds. We are taking it minute by minute, and wrapping our heads around the situation.

Thank you for visiting Joe's Caring Bridge site!First and foremost, We appreciate the prayers and support from all of you. Our family could not go through this without you and we thank you in advance from the bottom of our heart. This journey is just beginning, and it will be a very long road. We know that our lives are changed forever in some ways so having such incredible support is inspiring and encouraging. We plan to continue to write journals and updates and use this as our main point of communication in regard to his treatment, in hopes we can put all our time and effort in to supporting Joe.
