Welcome to Joe's CaringBridge website. So many of our friends have asked to be kept posted that we are using CaringBridge to keep family and friends updated in one place. As many already know, Joe had a kidney transplant in July of 2007. The transplant began to show signs of a reduction of function in the spring of 2016. A few weeks ago we were contacted by the transplant department at the Mayo Clinic inviting him to be re-evaluated for another transplant. We will be going to Rochester the 5th through the 7th of April for a battery of tests and appointments with the transplant team. We will know whether he is approved for another transplant at that visit. Thanks to four amazing people, both family and friends, we have the potential for another live donor transplant. So the journey begins...but this time we know the path. I will post an update after our visit to Mayo in April. Many thanks for your prayers and support. It means so very much.
