Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

For those who are unaware, Joelle developed rapid onset memory loss in January.  Doctors struggled to provide a diagnosis, which led to her being admitted to Rush University Medical Center on April 12, where she spent three weeks, undergoing scores of scans and tests in an effort to identify a cause for her memory issues.  She was ultimately diagnosed and treated for limbic encephalitis, which is swelling on the brain that impacts her memories and emotions.  Since being released, Joelle has has been residing at Silverado Memory Care Community in St. Charles.  Since that time, there have been setbacks, such as a hernia for which she had surgery on June 25.  While it is impossible to determine the long term impact of the encephalitis, it is our hope that through the love and support of her friends and family, Joelle will be as content as possible in the days to come.  Should you want to send a card, the address for Silverado is 4058 East Main Street, St. Charles, IL 60174.  While visiting is being limited to family at this time, positive thoughts and prayers are always welcome and are much appreciated.
