On Jan. 22 Joel suffered a stroke while riding his bike on Captiva Island in Florida. He was life-flighted to Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers. After 6 days in the ER, ICU, and Neuro-Stroke Unit he was transferred to the inpatient rehabilitation hospital where he continues to make great progress.
