Welcome to our CaringBridge website. I am using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.   I would appreciate my family and friends to use this website as a resource to follow how Joel is doing.    Joel has suffered a severe brain hemorrhage where he needed to have  surgery to remove 3 clots  spread throughout his brain, since there was too much pressue  on 5/17/17.  As of today, 5/19, his progress has been very slight.  He is on a respirator to support his breathing.  Simple commands such as opening his eyes, moving 2 fingers and wiggling his toes are slower than expected at this time.   A CT scan was done today, and no additional blood was found.  I have been overwhelmed by the love and support of all my family and friends and ask that you log in and check the status as I post it when I can.   I do want to thank all of you for the encouragement and prayers at a very needed time.
