After 10 months of investigation by many specialists from Kansas City to Rochester, Minnesota - the illness which has plagued Joel has recently been identified as a bacterial infection of mycobacterium chimaera.  While it has been difficult to manage the impacts this infection has had on his mind and body the past 10 months, the next months of treatment are critical.  Beginning February, 2021, Joel's family will begin sharing any pertinent updates via this page for all to review.   Joel greatly appreciates your support and words of hope and encouragement - Thank you for visiting, staying updated and leaving your thoughts.
