Our dearly loved Joel, age 42, passed away October 20, 2021. Preceded in death by grandparents, Francis and Elizabeth “Betty” Quinn, David Johnson; and Uncle, Tom Quinn. Survived by his parents Daniel and Judy Johnson; sister Michelle (Tyler) Kelly; nieces, Lily, Briella, and Elise; and many other relatives and friends.
Joel was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had an amazing heart, infectious smile, contagious laugh and he loved to joke around with people. He was a lover of video games, shoes and sports, especially basketball, baseball and skateboarding. Joel attended Osseo Senior High School. He graduated from Dunwoody Technical College and was on the Dean’s List for having a 4.0 GPA in his studies to be a CNC Machinist.
Funeral services will be held at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Avenue North, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445 with visitation at 9-10:30 AM and mass at 10:30-11:15 AM. After mass, Joel will be laid to rest at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery in Osseo, MN and lunch to follow at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church.
The family is accepting donations, in lieu of flowers.
