Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated on the status of Joe's recovery in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.&nbsp; As some of you may know, over the past weekend while having a get-together with friends and family at their home, Joe was bumped off the dock going head first into the shallow water hitting his head on the bottom of the lake and immediately broke his neck on impact.&nbsp; He was airlifted from Osceola Medical Center to Regions Hospital and went into surgery a few hours after arrival. Surgery went really well but he has a long recovery ahead. Currently,&nbsp;his condition is not fully known as he is being sedated for the pain. Doctors are hopeful&nbsp;he will regain some of his upper body movement back but are unsure of the lower half and whether he will be able to walk again.&nbsp; The doctors wanted us to know that he is in good hands and they be taking it one day at a time with a new plan every day based on his progression. WE LOVE YOU JOE! STAY STRONG AND FIGHT THROUGH THIS!
