Joe Hassan

No matter how you know Joe (family, friends, Dylan & RJ's dad, basketball, the VA, casual acquaintance, etc.), we would all have to agree that from the moment you met him, the only thing you noticed is his huge heart and his determination to live a normal life no matter what has been thrown his way.  Today he is facing a new challenge and it is your turn to show him your love and support.  Joe was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer on January 29th, 2018.  It has been an overwhelming couple of weeks for everyone, especially for Joe, and the outpouring of love has been amazing.  The amount of information being thrown our direction has been mind-boogling & exhausting to say the least, so a friend of ours suggested we start this site to keep everyone informed without burdening Joe to retell his story.  He promises that when he is up for it, he will love nothing more than to talk to each of you, but at the moment, his focus is on his battle and his goal of seeing his son Dylan grow up.

Joe & I have decided that we will post his health updates and how you can help him (rides to treatments, friend-sitting, meals, etc.) on this site.  We also ask that you share your love, thoughts and especially resources (best cancer comforts, blogs, healthcare suggestions, etc.) with us because the more positivity and information we have, the more powerful this fight will be.  

In the end, we all have one simple goal, to give Joe the long healthy life he deserves and has been fighting for his entire life.
