Joe Sullivan Joe has Cancer

This has been an interesting year for Joe, 1st blood clots in January and now tongue and throat cancer. The only "good" thing about this cancer is that the biopsy determined that it was caused by HPV and is considered curable.

It's a long and intense treatment with a recovery that's just a as long or longer. We know there will be 7 weeks of radiation coupled with 3 chemo treatments. We've been told that healing afterward could take up to another 12 weeks.

Time will come when he won't want to talk, but he can still email.

I will try to update this frequently. And thank you to all of our family, friends and his co-workers who have been so supportive.
