Welcome to Jodi's Caring Bridge. Thank you for coming - we are glad you're here.

Jodi Keuck-Crumly is one of the most caring, funny, genuine people you'll ever encounter.  She is the fearless momma-bear to Brantley (5) & Brody (2). She is the loving daughter of Lee & Diane. She is Nikki's ginger-haired little sister. She swims like a fish.  She loves her Gators, the Cubbies, and her chips & dip.  She would bend over backwards for anyone, and happily to do anything to help a friend. Now, though, we need to do whatever we can to help her.

As you may know, Jodi has had many medical issues related to her Melanoma diagnosis. The melanoma had recently spread to her right lung, with two spots in the lower right lobe. Surgery to remove that portion of her lung was successful, and the doctors also removed lymph nodes from the same area during surgery. Those lymph nodes tested positive for cancer as well. While a post-surgery PET scan showed no additional cancer in Jodi's body, a panel of doctors specializing in cancer treatment recommended that Jodi proactively treat any potential cancer. While there was a slim chance this treatment would be effective, due to Jodi's cells missing a key protein, Jodi forged ahead. She approached the treatment with the optimism and bravery that is known to be her signature trait.

The week of June 26 2017, Jodi began having abdominal discomfort and back pain. An ER visit on June 30 resulted in Jodi being admitted to the hospital, but the doctors could not give her an answer as to what exactly was causing her pain. Tired of waiting for answers and eager to see her babies, Jodi was discharged on Monday, July 3rd. She spent the 4th of July holiday in agony.

Unable to tolerate the pain and swelling any longer, Jodi returned to the ER on July 5th. This time, a  CT scan showed that the cancer had now aggressively moved into her abdomen. Her midsection is littered with nodules, found behind her kidneys, on her colon, and throughout her abdomen.

Jodi is in the battle of her life, for her life. Melanoma messed with the wrong girl when it picked a fight with our Jodi.
