Thursday, March 16 was the day it all start ed.  It was a normal day but quickly turned into a trip to the ER with extreme pain, transfer to MCHS - Mankto with a diagnosis of gall bladder/pancreatitis.  Treatment included pumping fluids into her body. Which became a problem when she gained  30 lbs in just a few days.  Treatment for her Crohns disease conflicts with treatment for the pancreatitis.  So balancing things  has been tricky, and frustrating at times Certain Lab results were needed for discharge.  This balancing act took until Saturday, March 25th when she returned home to Fairmont.  Monday was another trip to ER due to a Rhomboid strain - again, very painful - and an additional complication to recovery.  Monday met with family doc, Tues with surgeon.  Adjustment to treatment continue.  CAT scan and chest xrays do not indicate much improvement in Pancreatitis.  For now, the plan is to meet with a PA on Monday,  April 3 to monitor lab results.  Will meet with surgeon on Wed. to see about the gall bladder surgery which has tentatively been scheduled for April 6.  Of course, nothing is certain. 
Jodie has requested no visitors at this time as she is still in considerable pain, has difficulty breathing and tires very easily.  However, she wanted this CaringBridge site set up to let many of her out - of - town friends know what is going on...you may have noticed her absence from Facebook! :-)
