On Sunday October 16th 2016 our family went out to celebrate my fathers 83rd birthday. We decided to pick up Mom & Dad in the RV and head out to our local hot spot Don Julio's.  Upon returning home Mom was entering the RV up the back steps when she tripped on the last step, sending her head first into the kitchen area and  ending up face down on the floor. It was quit traumatic for everyone especially for mom.  Her pain seemed to get worse in the days that followed. On the fourth day she decided to go into the emergency room.  After waiting almost the entire day in the waiting room, due to patient priority, they finally saw her.  The doctor found some contusions of the scalp and chest but the X-Rays revealed something completely unrelated.  In layman's terms they found an 8 inch tumor mass in her central pelvis/ovarian region. On that following Monday the 24th she saw her personal doctor who then gave her a special blood test. This test unfortunately proved the mass to be cancerous.  We are looking forward to her next consultation on November 11th with doctors from the U of M, after which the operation will be scheduled. Thank you all so much for taking the time to be a part of mom's reality.  We encourage you to stay in touch on this site and to continue to be a great support for her and our family. In my fathers words... " It is all in Gods hands."
