JoAnne Dayton was the passenger in a car accident that happened on October 24th. She was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital in the Twin Cities. JoAnne suffered many broken ribs, a punctured lung, and an unstable C2 fracture. JoAnne was in ICU for about a week.
JoAnne is currently in Anoka Rehab and Living Center. JoAnne has an amazing attitude and says “ I will heal quickly”. She is as comfortable as can be expected with wearing her neck brace 24/7, and pain is being managed.
JoAnne has a busy schedule and phone call are hard for her with the brace. Please do NOT call JoAnne. Cards and notes are encouraged. We are expecting her to stay in Anoka Rehab for at least another week or longer. Her next step will be looking for an assisted living facility in the Twin Cities. We hope she will be back in her apartment mid-winter.
