JJ survived a severe stroke at birth and as a result is suffering from a unique type of seizure called infantile spasms. Medicine is not able to stop these detrimental seizures so brain surgery is our next step. JJ will be having a left functional hemispherectomy on July 24th at Boston Children's Hospital. He will always have his struggles, but we hope seizures won't be one of them. Despite these hardships, JJ remains a very happy and vibrant baby boy!
