Welcome to Josiah's CaringBridge website. Josiah has been diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia, which has required a lengthy hospitalization and a Bone Marrow Transplant, April 28th, 2022.  We appreciate your support, your prayers, and your words of encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

For those of you who don't know us well, yet are kind enough to follow our story and pray for Josiah and our family through this unexpected experience, I would like to share a little more about him.

Josiah is 14 years old. He joined our family through adoption from China at the age of 6. He has Spina Bifida, and uses a wheelchair for mobility. He is the second youngest of our 9 children.

Josiah is an absolute joy to his family, and to anyone who knows him well. He keeps the best parts of himself for those he knows and loves the best. He is courageous, adventurous, and knows no limits. He has never allowed his limited mobility to be an excuse for not living his life to the fullest. He loves data, facts, and weather! He loves all cats, but only SOME dogs. 🤣 He loves Lego, climbing rocks, and singing along to songs - especially Christmas music! He loves playing games - video, board, card, basketball - he wants to play, and he wants to win. He brings laughter and light into our world.

The name Josiah means "God will support and heal". We are clinging to that as a promise from God as we travel this journey together as a family. Thank you for walking along this path with us, whether it's for a day or a year, we are thankful for you.
