Jim Whitney, DVM

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. There is only one Jim Whitney.  To say that he is a multi-faceted man is no exaggeration.  The two photos at the top of the page portray two prominent aspects of his life for the last several years. The larger photo is a pic of Jim standing next to Lynx guard Lindsey Whelan.  He's been a huge Lynx fan and has infected many of us with his rabid support of the team.  A bit of a back story for you. I swear I saw Lindsey in Lund's grocery store one evening.  I was too star struck to approach her.  Jim's response was to offer the photo.  The other photo is of Jim and his musical passion - ukulele.  With the MS having taken much dexterity from him, Jim never considered playing a musical instrument, even though he has been one of this area's foremost supporters of folk music.  Then the ukulele crossed his path.  To say it has become an obsession is more truth than fiction.  Ask him how many he owns and how many he has given away.   And there is so much more to Jim.  As you visit the site.
