In February of 2018, Jim (dad) went to the doctor because he was having trouble breathing. His primary physician immediately referred him to an oncologist.  Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 non small cell metastatic lung cancer in his right lung.  It was determined that dad would begin immunotherapy treatments.  He started Keytruda in March of 2018. Initially the treatment was amazing.  Minimal side effects and the tumor was shrinking.

In April of 2018, he began to retain fluid around his lungs.  He went in for several appointments to drain the fluid and in May of 2018 they did a procedure where they put a powder in the lining around his lungs which would stop the constant retention of fluid.

At the end of May he was hospitalized for shortness of breath and fluid retention.  He was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure.  Since that time he has gone progressively down hill.   Which brings us to this point...
