Welcome to "Jim's Search for a Kidney."  Jim spent his career educating and advocating for children as a teacher and principal.  Since retiring he's invested time and energy training for running and bike rides that raise funds and awareness for children with and without disabilities. Jim's steadfast faith in God and his focus on his family ground him during this journey, and he knows that he still has so much to give and so much life to live.
Please consider applying to see if YOU are a match, and please also share Jim's story far and wide. Thank you for your time and for applying, and sharing. You can apply directly here to see if you're a match: https://survey.umnhealthlivingdonor.org/approach/?service=fairview.transplant.combined:kidney.prereq.1#__
For more details on Jim's journey, he was born with only one kidney and received his first transplant from his sister Debi. He was able to gain 7 good years post-transplant, but and then in 2015, he needed to receive his second kidney transplant. That kidney was not from a living donor, and living donor organs have a higher success rate and allow for a longer time utilizing the organ.  Therefore we're in search of good-hearted individuals, like yourself, to volunteer to see if YOU can be his match for a life-saving kidney transplant.  Thank you for your consideration! Much love and God bless.
