Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your prayers, support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Jim was in Seattle for business and on Thursday, June 29th after his return flight home, he became ill at the airport. He was taken to the hospital and it was discovered he had a brain bleed. The doctors are unsure at this point, but it may have been caused by a fall he took coming out of a restaurant on Wednesday. He is in the ICU at Northwestern Hospital. On Saturday, he underwent surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain. The surgery was a success! For the time being, it is day by day to see how things progress as a result of the surgery. Right now he is stable and has better movement on his left side than right. He continues to be sedated and intubated.
We appreciate your prayers and support as we begin this journey, as we know that Jim is in for a long road to recovery. We will update this site with changes to Jim's condition.
