Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated.

Due to Jim’s mom Mary’s own fragile medical condition, she is not aware of Jim’s accident and injuries. Our family would greatly appreciate folks refraining from sharing this information with her at this time.

On Thursday January 14th, Jim suffered significant injuries to his head, resulting in multiple facial fractures, three skull fractures and several areas of bleeding in his brain. He was taken by ambulance to The University of Minnesota and underwent a critical 5-hour neurosurgical procedure to stop the bleeding.

Jim is currently in stable condition but being sedated. He is having gradual improvements each day and is able to follow some simple commands as well as open his eyes.

We are optimistic that Jim’s condition will continue to progress in a positive direction. Please say as many prayers as you can for Jim and his family during this very emotional time.
