Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

Hello friends and family. I hope to keep you all posted on my Dad's progress through this site. It is through all the love and support from all of you that we can make it through this challenging time. And for that, we thank you!

On March 29, 2016 Dad was diagnosed with non-small cell adenocarcinoma lung cancer. (A slower growing lung cancer) The PET SCAN revealed that it has metastasized to the bone (ribs and spine.) The treatment plan is to start chemotherapy next week. There is not a definite date set for the infusion yet, but I will keep you posted.

Many people ask the same question: "How did they find this out?" Well, he was having pains in his left side. He isn't one to run off to the doctor right away, so when it wasn't letting up, he decided it was time to have it checked out. A mass was found in his right lung along the lining. The pain he was actually feeling on his left side was in the ribs where it had spread.

He is taking pain medication for the discomfort and anxiously awaiting the start of the treatment. It is during this time that we would ask for prayers for a smooth and responsive treatment.

We just want to thank you all again in advance for taking the time to pray for healing and for recovery. We don't always understand God's plan in our lives, but we have to trust and always have faith no matter what our circumstances.

God Bless,
Joy
