In January 2019, I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. The cancer was found in my esophagus and had spread to my liver. I also had a tumor in my stomach. I had radiation done to shrink the tumor and that was successful. By the end of July, I had completed my first round of chemotherapy. The chemo had been successful in shrinking the cancer in my liver, but not my esophagus. However, the cancer in my esophagus had not grown either. By the end of August, just 4 weeks into my 2 month break, I had gone to the ER for severe stomach pain and was told the cancer in my liver had grown 100%. So here we are. I will start another round of chemo on September 10th.
