Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

On May 17th Jimmy discovered a lump on the left side of his neck. After a visit to the pediatrician, it was determined that Jimmy had an enlarged lymph node.
From May 22nd to June 8th Jimmy was tested for RA, mono, lupus, Epstein Barr, Covid, and had a chest x-ray. All of the results from these tests came back negative so a CT of the neck was ordered. The results of the CT showed that Jimmy had multiple enlarged lymph nodes in his neck and along his collarbone in a pattern  consistent with Hodgkin's Lymphoma so a core biopsy and a chest CT were ordered to confirm a diagnosis.
On June 12th, Jimmy was diagnosed with Classical Hodgkin's Lymphoma. We were referred to the Rush Pediatric Oncology team for treatment. Jimmy has a few more tests to determine staging and risk stratification which will help to determine the type and duration of chemo treatments he will need to win this fight!
Jimmy and his brothers and I are extremely grateful for the outpouring of love, support and inspiration that we have received. Words cannot express right now how much we appreciate it.
