Jimmy Stewart is a man who is well known for his passion for the Lord, for his family, and his work at the Alaska Baptist Convention. Jimmy's family includes his wife, Kathryn, two sons, Justin and Steven, his daughter Katelyn, and Steven's wife, Anna. Jimmy is the Director of Evangelism and Church Development for the Alaska Baptist Convention.
On July 23, 2016, Jimmy drove to his cabin to enjoy some time of relaxation with family and friends. Upon their arrival, they noticed the smell of gas and proceeded to air out the cabin. Later, Jimmy went into the crawl space to find the leak, and there was an explosion. Jimmy was immediately air-evacuated from Anchorage to a burn unit in Seattle Washington. He sustained third-degree burns over 80% of his body, and was listed in critical condition. Jimmy has undergone several surgeries and is facing at least 6 months in the hospital and a lengthy convalescence.
