The Family would to thank everyone for the love and support through this difficult time. Jimmy was diagnosed with ALS in March of 2015, and part of his journey included raising awareness and funds to support others in the ALS community, while also contributing to finding cure. Steve Gleason was a huge inspiration to Jimmy, and his organization based here in New Orleans became both a resource for living with this disease and also an extended family. One of Jimmy's lasting legacies was raising over $125,000 for the Team Gleason Foundation!
As per Jimmy's wishes, rather than traditional funeral services, we have decided to plan a celebration of Jimmy's life in early January and will update this site with more details soon. We all believe this is a much more appropriate way to honor Jimmy and the way he lived his life - tellings stories, enjoying each others company, and saying our goodbyes. We hope that everyone will take part in this online community to share photos and personal experiences that were touched by Jimmy and his spirit.
