Jimmy is scheduled for surgery on July 19th to have a central venous catheter put in. After that he will be admitted to the hospital. He will have six days of intense chemo before the big day. Transplant day is scheduled for July 26th. We anticipate that he will be in the hospital for about 30 days as his body adjusts to his new immune system. Visiting rules per the hospital are as follows. No visitors with any recent infection. No more than two at a time. No flowers. No visitors under the age of 15. All visitors must wash their hands at the sink as you enter the unit. He will be at Jewish hospital in Kenwood (room number tba).
