Jimmy Aldrich

Hello everyone...


My name is Carolyn. I'm Jimmy's sister and I've started this caringbridge connection, so all of you can get up-to-date information on my brother.


First I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has called, stopped by the hospital, and sent up prayers on my brothers behalf. They are much appreciated. THANK YOU!


So here is what I know about how this all started...


Apparently it started with an ear infection, then the infection went into his sinuses and ultimately into his chest and turned to pneumonia. My brother, being the stubborn guy we all know he is😉didn't go to the doctor and things just got worse.


Early last week he texted Amber and said he had called out sick at work, which BTW he never does, so she told him to go to the doctor. He was so sick at this point he apparently just went to bed.


After about 3 days Josh (a friend, living on Jimmy's property) noticed that he hadn't seen Jimmy for a few days so he went to check on him and Jimmy was nearly unconscious, so he got him up and took him to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.


While at Mat-Su he was put into a medically induced coma so his body could rest and heal. Unfortunately Jimmy continued to get worse and went into Renal failure. At this point Mat-Su was unable to give the needed dialysis he required, so they prepared him to be airlifted to providence Medical Center in Anchorage. Just before he was to be transported he went into cardiac arrest. Once stabilized he was airlifted to Providence where he is in the ACC (adult critical care) unit.
