My Dad, Jim McLaughlin has recently been diagnosed with both Pancreatic Cancer and Diabetes. He is 85 years old and has enjoyed very good health for most of those 85 years. Up until a few months ago, he was the same as he has always been: Smiling, traveling, working full-time, playing host to many family gatherings and volunteering/helping others in need. Now, he is hospitalized and trying to get used to the idea of fighting life-threatening illnesses. I know that hearing from friends and family - near and far- will help keep his spirits up while he is battling this new and unpleasant challenge.
