On Thursday night August 18th Jim suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke near his Thalamus which is located in the center of the brain.  He was rushed to the Hospital by Ambulance and admitted to the ICU, where they stabilized his blood pressure and diagnosed him.  The stroke occurred in the right side of his brain and is affecting the left side of his body, he immediately experienced paralysis in the left side of his body, specifically his arm and leg.  His face, vision, and speech seem to be relatively unaffected and his cognitive abilities are fully intact.  For many years he has been living a very active and healthy lifestyle and there was no sign of any problems.  Our hopes and prayers for him is that he will be able to return to that lifestyle as soon as possible.  Please join with us here in keeping updated with his recovery as well as using this as a place to get details for your prayers.  We all love Jim very much and though this stroke has affected his physical abilities, he is as sharp and comical as ever.

Though his family would love to speak personally with each and everyone of you they need to be focused on helping Jim through this time. So please check the journal and update your notification settings for updates, and please sign the guestbook with prayers and words of encouragement that you would like for Jim and his family to receive.
